The latter half of the 19th century saw an explosion of exciting cultural and scientific developments, but also the worst disaster French vineyards were to live through: phylloxera. When the crisis was finally under control after almost thirty years of struggle, Thomas Edouard Hine decided to create a cognac to celebrate the victory and the regeneration of the Cognac vineyards… and this is how TRIOMPHE came to be. For TRIOMPHE, Thomas Edouard Hine selected a blend of outstanding Grande Champagne cognacs that he assembled in 1888.
